The D.A.'s Office filed the public nuisance actions against the owners and managers of the motels after Memphis police responded to hundreds of calls to the properties, many for violent crimes, and made dozens of prostitution arrests at the locations. A recent homicide case is also connected to the prostitution-trade at one of the closed motels.
