The D.A.'s Office has filed notification to seek the death penalty for James Hawkins, 31, who has been indicted for first degree murder, filing a false report and abuse of a corpse. Hawkins is accused of murdering his live-in girlfriend Charlene Gaither last February and dismembering the body.

The D.A.'s Office has filed notification to seek the death penalty for Tucson Biggs, 31, who has been indicted for the first degree murder of Angela Baker last December. The medical examiner's report revealed that Baker had been shot nine times in the chest and back.

Wayne Logan, 61, a former civilian employee in the Sheriff's Office pleaded guilty to attempted rape and attempted rape of a child. A judge sentenced Logan to eight years in prison and he is not eligible for probation.
