The victim, Jeremy Lampkin, 25, died of multiple gunshot wounds on Aug. 16 last year at an apartment in the 600 block of Patterson near Park and Highland.
A 26-year-woman told police Hinton beat her with his fists and then contacted Lampkin on her cellphone and lured him to the apartment and shot him.
The case is being handled by Theresa McCusker, chief prosecutor of the DA’s Domestic Violence Prosecution Unit which prosecutes felony cases of domestic assault and homicide committed by intimate partners.
