Sean Farris, 28, was convicted Thursday by a Criminal Court jury, while codefendant Darryl Goodman, also 28, was convicted of the lesser charge of facilitation of aggravated robbery.
Both are in custody and are scheduled to be sentenced May 25 by Judge Bobby Carter.
On Aug. 30, 2014, the two men approached a resident of the Grahamwood Apartments, pointed a gun at his head and demanded money and property.
They robbed the victim of a laptop computer, keys and his wallet containing a bank card and identification. The gunmen then fled in a gray Chevrolet Avalanche.
The victim’s keys later were found in Goodman’s backyard. The victim identified Farris as one of the holdup men.
The case was handled by Asst. Dist. Attys. Dru Carpenter and Gavin Smith.
