Two Indicted in January Homicide in Raleigh

April 3, 2017 - Two men have been indicted in the shooting death of a 20-year-old man who died after he was shot and crashed his car into a pole in January in Raleigh, Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich said Monday.
Jaylon Jackson, 19, was indicted on first-degree murder in the perpetration of attempted robbery, while Reco Hall, 21, was indicted on facilitation to commit first-degree murder in the perpetration of the attempted robbery.
Both are being held without bond.
The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 22 when police were called to the 3600 block of Prince John Cove where shots were reportedly fired. Officers checked the area and found nothing, but then received a shooting call a few blocks away in the 5300 block of Gloucester.
They found victim, Yasne Tahiro, 20, seated in his vehicle that had crashed into a light pole. Tahiro had a gunshot wound to his right side and died a short time later at a hospital.
The case is being handled by Asst. Dist. Atty. Neal Oldham, chief prosecutor of the DA’s Old Allen Community Prosecution Unit which emphasizes crime prevention and intervention in the Frayser-Raleigh-Millington area.
