Teen Indicted in Drive-By Homicide in Frayser

April 27, 2017 – An 18-year-old man has been indicted on first-degree murder and other felony charges stemming from a December drive-by shooting in Frayser in which a young woman was killed and two other people were wounded, Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich said Thursday.
Jocquez Parham of the 1900 block of Lamar Ave. also was indicted on seven counts of attempted first-degree murder and employing a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony. He is being held without bond.
Investigators said Parham fired numerous shots from a maroon SUV last Dec. 7 as it drove past a residence at 1911 The Oaks Ave., striking Ronevia Williams, 18, and killing her. Two men were shot in the legs and several other people indoors, including a 7-day-old baby, were endangered by bullets that went into the house.
The case is being handled by Asst. Dist. Atty. Glen Baity.
