A Criminal Court jury also convicted defendant Anterrio Chambers of aggravated assault and employment of a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony. He will be sentenced May 7 by Judge Bobby Carter.
The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on July 15, 2015, when two men were returning to their vehicle from the food court and were confronted by Chambers and another man. After words were exchanged, the victims got into their vehicle which then was hit by gunfire from Chambers and his unidentified companion.
The victims drove away quickly and were not injured. During the trial, jurors were shown video of the shooting captured by security cameras at the mall.
