Oct. 22, 2018 – A young woman has been indicted on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence stemming from an altercation in July in which another woman died of stab wounds, Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich said Monday.
Defendant Bianca Sims, 19, is free on $30,000 bond.
She is accused of trying to hit 19-year-old Britney Allgood with her vehicle during an ongoing dispute on July 5 that ended at a service station in the 6200 block of Knight Arnold in Fox Meadows. Investigators said a fight involving them and several others resulted in Allgood suffering fatal stab wounds.
The indictment was returned after investigators and prosecutors made a thorough review of videos, witness accounts, autopsy results, circumstances surrounding the case, and meetings with victim’s family.
Sims also was arrested earlier this month on unrelated drug and weapons charges.
