Man Indicted in Woman’s Shooting Death

Riales Riales
Nov. 8, 2018 – A 20-year-old man was indicted on second-degree murder charges Tuesday involving the shooting death this summer of a woman outside his Overton Square-area apartment, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
Defendant Evan Riales is free on $40,000 bond.
Police were called to the 2000 block of Court Ave. around 11 p.m. on July 2, 2018, where they found Erica Young, 38, of Southaven, slumped in the front seat of her car with a gunshot wound to the face.
She was taken to Regional One Health where she died three days later.
Investigators said Riales shot the victim during an argument.
