Woman Convicted in Robbery

March 28, 2019 – A 29-year-old woman has been convicted for her role in the robbery of an acquaintance in 2014, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
Demonica Gore faces 8 to 12 years in prison for aggravated robbery when she is sentenced in May by Criminal Court Judge W. Mark Ward. Gore, who has a previous felony conviction and two pending felony cases, is being held in the Shelby County Women’s Jail East.
Gore was one of four people involved in the Jan. 24, 2014, robbery of a man at the Autumnwood Apartments off of Kirby Parkway in the Fox Meadows area of southeast Memphis, an investigation showed.
Two gunmen robbed the victim of a cellphone, marijuana and the clothes he was wearing. Gore told police she and several others planned and took part in the robbery. Charges against the others are being handled separately.
The trial was handled by Asst. Dist. Attys. Jamie Kidd and Justin Prescott.
