Memphis, TN - October 29, 2013 - A Munford woman who got jobs at three Shelby County doctors’ offices by posing as a nurse and a physician’s assistant has been indicted on charges of impersonating a health care professional.
Beth Ann Cotton-Brown, 49, also was indicted for allegedly forging a nursing degree and license and fabricating a letter from a Millington judge purporting to clear her of driving charges.
Investigators said Cotton-Brown worked as a physician’s assistant at Primary Healthcare of Millington from June 2004 to June 2005 and as a registered nurse at Laurelwood Pediatrics in Memphis from February 2012 to May 2012 and then at Primary Care Pediatrics in Millington from May 2012 to April 2013.
She is facing five felony counts including identity theft, two counts of forgery and two counts of impersonating a license professional.
Cotton-Brown is free on $5,000 bond.
