Stacy Hopkins was arrested by Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Investigators after they determined she transmitted nude, sexually explicit images of herself to underage students. The investigation further revealed that Hopkins, while employed as a teacher at Arlington High School, engaged in sexual intercourse with three Arlington High School students at various times in the course of a year. Two of the students were underage at the time the crimes occurred.
The two (2) year sentences will run consecutively for a total of four (4) years, and Hopkins must register as a sex offender.
The case was handled by Assistant District Attorney Abby Wallace, of the Shelby County District Attorney General’s Special Victims Unit.
The plea was entered in Criminal Court Division X. Judge James Beasley presided.
