Man Indicted in $1 Million Embezzlement Case
Jan. 15, 2020 – A 35-year-old man has been indicted on felony theft charges for allegedly embezzling more than $1 million in funds from the United Supreme Council (USC), a nonprofit Masonic fraternal organization, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
Zodiac Park Shooter Sentenced to 133 Years
Jan. 10, 2020 – A 21-year-old man who opened fire on a crowd of teens in a Whitehaven park was sentenced Friday to 133 years in prison for killing a 16-year-old girl, wounding four others and sending many others fleeing for their lives, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
Pair Indicted in North Shelby County Murder
Jan. 10, 2020 – Two men have been indicted on first-degree murder and other charges related to the 2018 shooting death of a North Shelby County man and the wounding of a woman during an attempted robbery, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
DA Weirich Announces New Case-Review Unit
Jan. 9, 2020 – Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich on Thursday announced the formation of a new unit that will review all criminal cases involving law enforcement officers whose past conduct has violated department policy and/or criminal law.
