MEMPHIS – Aug. 29, 2014 - A Memphis man already sentenced to death for the murders of three people in 2012 received an additional 21 years in prison for attempted murder and other offenses stemming from the same incident, Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich said Friday.

On Friday, April 20th, 2012, a Shelby County jury convicted a Memphis man for the shooting death of an eighteen year-old woman in July 2010. The jury found James Williams, age 40, guilty of first degree murder of Kawanda Wainwright. Williams was also found guilty of three counts of attempted first degree murder and employing a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony.
