July 25, 2018 – A 75-year-old caretaker for an elderly woman has been indicted on charges of theft, forgery, and adult abuse and neglect for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from an elderly victim’s bank account and fraudulently gaining possession of her automobile, Shelby County Dist. February 9th, 2012 - A Shelby County jury convicted Marco A. Blanch of rape of a 79 year old woman.
The rape occurred on February 3rd, 2011. Blanch, age 29, came to the woman’s home shortly after 10:00 pm, and asked her could he come in to watch television. The victim, an Alzheimer’s patient, let Blanch into the home. The victim’s grandson came to the house after watching Blanch enter the home. He found Blanch in the bedroom with his grandmother lying on the bed and Blanch on top of her, partially disrobed. The grandson detained Blanch on the scene until Memphis Police Department arrived and arrested him.
