Man Sentenced to 32 Years for Child Rape

MEMPHIS – September 14, 2015 - A man convicted last month of raping a 12-year-old girl on several occasions in North Memphis has been sentenced to 32 years in prison with no parole, Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich said Monday.

Darquan Swift Found Guilty

July 1st, 2011 - Shelby County Jury in Criminal Court Division 9 returned a verdict of guilty against Darquan Swift.

June 9, 2011 - Shelby County Jury in Criminal Court Division 5 found Jeremy Stevenson guilty in the murder of a West Memphis man in Northaven in 2009.
Jeremy Stevenson, age 21, was on trial for the fatal shooting of Kerry Collins, age 49, of West Memphis. On November 19th, 2009, Shelby County Sheriff's deputies responded to the shooting in the 4900 block of Ruthie Cove in Northaven. There they found Collins fatally wounded in a parked car. Collins had been shot several times, and was pronounced dead on the scene. The Sheriff's Department investigation later revealed that Stevenson had robbed and shot Collins and left him to die. Information in the trial indicated that Stevenson, then only 19 years old, planned the robbery after having a female accomplice lure Collins into the area for sex. On November 21, 2009, Stevenson and the female accomplice were located and arrested at 4969 Ruthie Cove.
Stevenson was found guilty of murder in perpetration of especially aggravated robbery, and especially aggravated robbery. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with parole in 51 years for the murder, and is scheduled for sentencing on the especially aggravated robbery charge on August 15, 2011.
Assistant District Attorneys Paul Hagerman and Eric Christensen prosecuted the case.

May 27, 2011 –A Memphis man was found guilty of First Degree Murder in a fatal 2009 restaurant shooting.
Terrance, “Tee Tee” Holliday, age 25, was on trial for killing Michael Woods on February 18, 2009. Michael Woods died after Holliday shot him multiple times while inside a restaurant in the 3600 block of South Mendenhall.
