Man Convicted in Dollar Store Holdup
Dec. 6, 2019 – A 57-year-old man was convicted Friday of aggravated robbery stemming from an armed holdup last year at a Dollar Tree store near the Northgate Shopping Center in Frayser, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
Arkansas Man Convicted in Meth-on-a-Bus Case
Dec. 5, 2019 – An Arkansas parolee riding a bus from Texas to Memphis has been convicted of possessing 10 pounds of methamphetamine, two handguns and ammunition in his carry-on baggage, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
FedEx Worker Indicted in Gold Bar Theft Case
Dec. 3, 2019 – A FedEx hub worker was indicted Tuesday for felony theft over $10,000 after security officers found eight thin gold bullion bars from a FedEx shipment hidden in his wallet as he was leaving work, said Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich.
DA’s Season of Remembrance Set for Dec. 2
Nov. 26, 2019 – Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich and the DA’s Victim/Witness Unit will host the 9th annual Season of Remembrance memorial next week commemorating lives lost to homicide in Memphis and Shelby County.
