MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Daily Memphian) — Authorities have broken up a drug trafficking ring operating in a North Memphis neighborhood, resulting in indictments against about 40 people.
Shelby County District Attorney Amy Weirich and local law enforcement leaders announced the indictments Wednesday, Aug. 11, in front of the three homes that were being used to run what was described as an open-air drug market.
Weirich said those indicted were “dealing death and destruction on the street.”
