Man Charged with Murder in Medical District Shooting Held on $1M Bond: During a recent bond hearing, newly appointed Assistant District Attorney Dijahanua Jones successfully argued for a $1 million bond against defendant Marcus Jackson, who is charged with first-degree murder.

The charges stem from a Medical District shooting on June 2 at 5:19 p.m., when officers responded to gunfire near South Camilla Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. Officers located the male victim, who had suffered gunshot wounds, and transported him to Regional One, where he later died from his injuries.

On June 6, authorities took Marcus Jackson into custody in the 900 block of College Park.
