Shelby County Jury Finds Kevin Isabelle Guilty in 2022 Shooting
Shelby County, Tenn. — A Shelby County jury found Kevin Isabelle guilty, Thursday in connection with a 2022 shooting that left a man critically injured.
The shooting happened on June 7, 2022, outside a Memphis convenience store. According to the investigation, De’Vonta Munn was in the parking lot when Isabelle got out of an SUV and fired multiple shots at him. Munn was struck several times and transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition. Munn later told police that he and Isabelle were friends and that he was unsure why Isabelle shot him.
Isabelle was charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault, convicted felon in possession of a handgun, employment of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and reckless endangerment.
Following trial, the jury found Isabelle guilty as charged. Sentencing is scheduled for a later date.
The case was prosecuted by ADA Brian Neely and ADA Victoria Gillard.
